人工智能時(shí)代的運(yùn)籌學(xué)與管理科學(xué)

This talk aims to present several operations research and management science (ORMS) problems, models, and algorithms for AI such as the LLM training and inferencing. In particular, we describe how classic management models/theories, such as online resource allocation, may be applied to accelerate and improve the Training/Inferencing algorithms that are popularly used in LLMs. On the other hand, we show breakthroughs in classical Optimization (LP and SDP) Solver development aided by AI-related techniques and their implementations on GPU.

葉蔭宇(Yinyu Ye), 原斯坦福大學(xué)李國(guó)鼎講席教授，現(xiàn)任上海交通大學(xué), 上海數(shù)學(xué)交叉科學(xué)院，香港中文大學(xué)深圳和香港科技大學(xué)訪(fǎng)問(wèn)講席教授。他的主要研究方向?yàn)檫B續(xù)和離散優(yōu)化，數(shù)據(jù)科學(xué)及應(yīng)用，數(shù)字算法設(shè)計(jì)及分析，算法博弈及市場(chǎng)均衡，運(yùn)籌及管理科學(xué)等; 他和其他科學(xué)家開(kāi)創(chuàng)了內(nèi)點(diǎn)優(yōu)化算法，錐規(guī)劃模型，分布式魯棒優(yōu)化，在線(xiàn)線(xiàn)性規(guī)劃和學(xué)習(xí)，強(qiáng)化學(xué)習(xí)和馬可夫過(guò)程及非凸優(yōu)化算法分析等。他與學(xué)生多次榮獲重要學(xué)術(shù)獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)，包括：2006 INFORMS Farkas Prize (首位獲獎(jiǎng)?wù)?，2009年約翰·馮·洛伊曼理論獎(jiǎng)，國(guó)際數(shù)學(xué)規(guī)劃2012 Tseng Lectureship Prize (首位獲獎(jiǎng)?wù)呙咳?，2014美國(guó)工業(yè)及應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)優(yōu)化獎(jiǎng) (每三年)，2025 Constantin Caratheodory Prize of the全局優(yōu)化 Congress。
